I decided to watch some Toryumon today suince I had some extra time and what better way to spend it.I decided to watch a video that is still a lead in to the next show I am watching.

Toryumon Vamonos Amigos #59 8/30/03 & 9/8/03

  1. Stalker Ichikawa vs. Takamichi Iwasa (8/30/03)-This match was really fun,I loved Iwasa Gundum so much they were really one of my favorite things to watch and I always pulled for them to finally get the victory. This had the excellent finish of Iwasa looking like he got the win with the move he lost to so many times the camel clutch but then Iwasa comed to relize that in his partner Raimu Mishima's excitement he accidentily threw a towel in the ring causing Iwasa to lose the match.

  2. Taru/Don Fujii vs. Batayan/Toru Owashi (8/28/03)-This was funny for the small amount of time given,Fuji and Batayan always had a funny chemistry together especially when they get to singing which happens soon after this episode.

  3. Touru Owashi vs. Jun (8/30/03)-This was a good match with JUNplaying a great underdog and Owashi just beating him up,by the end of the match the crowd was really pulling for JUN and it had great heat.

  4. Takamichi Iwasa vs. Taru vs. Touru Owashi - Three Way Dance (finish only, 9/8/03)-Qucik match building to a match between Taru and Owashi,Owashi and Taru brawl the entire match while Iwasa is outside the ring but before they are all counted out Iwasa rolls in the ring and gets the victory!!Hooray Iwasa Gundum!!!

  5. Yossino vs. Susumu Yokosuka - NWA Welterweight Title Match(9/8/03)-I loved this match, these two are bothso good so you knew when you put them together you were in for a treat and they definetly delivered.

  6. Masaaki Mochizuki/Dragon Kid/Kenichiro Arai vs. Genki Horiguchi/Susumu Yokosuka/Magnum Tokyo vs. Cima/Suwa/Don Fujii vs. Condotti Shuji/Yossino/Milano Collection A.T. - 4-way dance for the UWA Trios Titles (8/30/03)-This is probaly one of i not my favorite Toryumon Japan match of all time,I just can't say one bad thing about so much awesome spots really just amazing I can't do it justice with words.

  7. Ryo Saito/K-ness vs. Berlinetta Boxer/Condotti Shuji (finish only, 9/8/03)-This was to Yasshi and Shuji who left the Italian connection following the four way.Good short little match.

Afterwards Berletta Boxer is unmasked and sadly Yasshi and Shuji humiliate Bakery Yagi by stiffing his face with his own food adnhe leaves upset which made me sad because I love Yagi.

I got to watch the debut of Toryumon X today and I was very pleased with it overall and thought it was a very fun show all around. On to the review shall we.

Toryumon Vamonos Amigos #58: Toryumon-X Debut Show 8/22/03

  1. Naoki Tanisaki vs. Keni'chi Hanai (8/22/03)-Good match to start the show and the crowd is very good, they applaud every move the guys try and are very respectful. Both men showed some cool stuff and Naoki clutch that he won with was very nice.

  2. Araken/Koichiro Arai vs. Raimu Mishima/Takamichi Iwasa (8/22/03)-As always from Iwasa and Mishima,a great match with good action throughout. The Arakens also showed some good teamwork and thier headbutt combos were very unique especially the one at the end where  big Araken  jumped about all the wy across the ring to connect.

  3. Mango Fukuda/Takeshi Minnamino vs. Berlinetta Boxer/Murcielago (8/22/03) -Fast paced match with cool moves all around.Takesji really was great at tying his character into his moves and his dancing moves were great.Murcielago did some nice dives and moves in this match and really got good crowd support towards the finish.

  4. Taiji Ishimori/Shu Sato/Manabu Murakami vs. Suwa/Mini Cima/Suwacito/Small Dandy Fuji - handicap match (8/22/03) -I really enjoyed this match.Just a fast paced and innovative match that showed you what you could expect from the Toryumon X class. The spot where Shu did the cartwheel with SUWAcito holding on to him while he rototed was very nice and I have never seen that before.Taiji did a very nice roll hurricanerana and there was some John Woo's too from the SUWA's which are always a joy to watch, especially the one from big SUWA that sent omne of the Sato twins flying into the other.

  5. Taiji Ishimori vs. Fuerza Guerrera - UWA World Welterweight Title (8/31/03) -I was very shocked at how much the crowd was behind Fuerza I know he is from Mexico but useally the crowds from Mexico on the Toryumon tapes still cheer the Japan guys but they were little harsh here on Taiaji, thoughn it was a good match and at the end the crowd cheered for Taiji when Fuerza raised his arm.

  6. Highlights from Mexico... -I always like these because you get to see some of the really young students like Kondo & Co. who was pretty good from the little of him I have seen before. Some other matches were in here to and all of them looked fun.

  7. Negro Casas/Vampiro/El Dandy vs. Los Salseros Japoneses (8/31/03) -I do wish The Salseros were given more offense in this match but they were against some pretty big name guys in Lucha Libre so I quess I can understand, fun match though.

I finally got to watch the bg Toryumon Japan Fifth Anniversary event today and it was all I expected and so mucjh more.I get right to the review as to waste no time.

Toryumon "5th Anniversary" PPV 6/29/03 - 2 Disc Set!

2 Disc Set!

  1. Milano Collection A.T./Yassini/Pescatore Yagi vs. SUWA/TARU/Don Fujii-You can't really ask for a better opener.Seriously everyone was bringing the goods and Mianlo busted out a standing moonsalt which was the first time I have ever seen him do that, quite impressive. We also got a sweet John Woo on Yassini from SUWA and some bread from Yagi to bring it all together, good stuff.

  2. Takamichi Iwasa/Anthony W. Mori vs. Raimu Mishima/Second Doi-This was awesome and really showed how great each one of these guys are and were.Iwasa made with the innovation and busted out some cool stuff I hadn't seen from him before.Mori played a excellent babyface as always and looked determined to win throughout the match.Mishima looked great and seemed like he was trying to prove himslef and he certanly did.Doi had some cool spots that tied into his baseball character and did a really nice dropkick to the outside.

  3. Condotti Shuji vs. Jun vs. Touru Owashi - Triangle match-Cool match, everyone was teaming and turning on each other leading to some good spots.JUN was way over and the crowd seemed to really be pulling for him.

  4. The Great Sasuke vs. Stalker Ichikawa-Loved the finish of this match and Stalker hurting himself on his Sasuke Special atempt. It was also funny seeing Stalker pribe Ref Ted Tanabe into counting slow and helping him walk the top rope.

  5. Nobuhiko Oshima (Cima) vs. Katsumasa Kuroki (Magnum Tokyo) - clipped; Cima & Tokyo's debut match (5/11/97)-Clips to build to the main event.Cima was in pink and black here while Magnum was in Red and Black.Magnum did a really nice tornado ddt which recieved a good pop.

  6. Cima vs. Magnum Tokyo - clipped (2/5/99)-I have seen this before and it is a great heated match

  7. Cima vs. Magnum Tokyo - clipped (12/18/99)-From what they show it looks really good and I will look into finding the longer version on tape.

  8. CIMA vs. Magnum Tokyo - clipped (6/10/01)-Another one which I have yet to see in full but look forward to.

  9. Yossino vs. K-Ness - NWA Welterweight Title-Absolutly great, these two as I have said in countless reviews in the past have so much chemistry and put on incredible matches.Really just awesome limb work from both guys, cool spot, and I can not wait to November 18, 2007 at Hakata Star Lanes when these two finally meet again for Dragon Gate's Open The Brave Gate Championship.

  10. Genki Horiguchi/Ryo Saito/Susumu Yokosuka vs. Masaaki Mochizuki/Araken/Dragon Kid - UWA Trios Titles-This may now be one of my favorite Toryumon Japan matches of all time, this was just awesome action from the bell and Araken played an amaizing underdog with his hand which was injured.

  11. CIMA vs. Magnum Tokyo - UDG Title-This match had a incredible heat and the athmosphere of a huge match which it was.Awesome from start to finish with both guys pulling out all the stops.CIMA hit his beautiful Tornillo and Magnum hit the AV Star Press.Just really great and I was emotionally sucked into the match from the beginning and loved every minute of it.

I decided that since I already had it in my collection to watch the last Toryumon Vamonos Amigos before the big 6/29/2003 KOBE World Hall Show that I willl watch on Saturday to get pumped up.

Vamonos Amigos #54,Aired 6/28,Taped 6/4 Chicken,6/19 Korakuen Hall,6/22 Mie

1.  6/4 Chicken Digest-Good highlights to start the show off well, every match came off looking good in the clips they showed from the matches.Already some build to the CIMA vs Magnum match as they both used the others finisher to win thier respective matches here.
2. JUN, TARU vs. Takamichi Iwasa, Anthony W. Mori-ENTER JUN!!!!!This is where we first get to see Jun Ogawauchi as a member of Crazy Max and with a new attire and name becuase he now wears these awesome shorts like attire and goes by JUN.He destroys Iwasa and hits his awesome Onifuusha.
3. Dragon Kid, Second Doi vs.  Raimu Mishima, Araken-I really enjoyed this match even if it did end by no contest due to DoFixer interfeering at the end.Raimu and Kid had some great exchanges and as much as I have liked Mishima in the past here he really showed me how great a base for a high flyer he can be.Good all around match.
4. K-ness, Susumu Yokosuka, Ryo Saito vs. Milano Collection AT, YOSSINO, YASSINI-I was really looking forward to this match for the exchanges between K-NESS and YOSSINO and when they were in together they did not dissapoint one bit.K-NESS's counter for the Sol Naciente, which he calls the Sol Noches El, is awesome and I hope he uses it in some of his upcoming matches to build to thier 11/18/2007 Dragon Gate Open The Brave Gate Championship Match.Once again good match makes you excited for the KOBE show.
5. Magnum TOKYO, Genki Horiguchi vs. CIMA, Don Fujii-Really fun match all around,CIMA and Magnum had some lightning fast exchages and Fuji and Genki had some funny hair spots with Fuji mcking Genki about the HAGE and Genki messing up Fuji's Iron Perm.Cool ending with Magnum pinnig Fuji with the Egoist Driver while CIMA pinned Genki with the Schwein for simultaneous falls and a draw.
6. British Commonwealth Jr Title 3 Way: SUWA vs. Condotti Shuji vs. Masaaki Mochizuki-Awesome match that had alittle bit of everything. Some cool three way reversals and exchanges of strikes and moves and also some really good brawling moments. There was really good heat for the match and you never knew who was going to win.The ending was great with Pescatore Yagi returning in a mask and Chef's hat and using sticks of bread to help Condotti pick up the win.
7. K-ness, Genki Horiguchi vs. YASSINI, Pescatore Yagi-Fun match with everyone coming off looking good.Ended with a DQ but it didn't matter because the ,match was good enough that it more then made up for it.

Overall a great lead in episode for the 6/29/2003 show and build up to alot of matches on the show, here is the full card.Should be great.

Today was my birthday and I decided to watch some Toryumon to celebrate.

Toryumon TV 5/30/03

Taped 5/6/03:

  1. Stalker Ichikawa vs. Anthony W. Mori vs. Takamichi Iwasa vs. Condotti Shuji in a 4-way dance-Was interupted by SUWA after only a few minutes because he wanted to beat down Condotti.Stalker was funny for the little time they got.

  2. Genki Horiguchi/Susumu Yokosuka vs. Masaaki Mochizuki/Dragon Kid-Really great back and forth match. You know when you have Susumu and Kid together there's going to be some nice exchanges and this was no exception.Nice counters and execution by everyone.

  3. Magnum Tokyo/K-ness/Ryo Saito vs. Milano Collection A.T./YOSSINO/"brother" Yassini-Extremely fun match with K-NESS busting out on of my favorite moves his cross arm Gory Bomb which is called Dietan.Really fast paced stuff throughout and makes me really look forward to K-NESS vs Yoshino on my upcoming 6/29/2003 KOBE World Hall Show and their match coming up on 11/18/2007 at Hakata Star Lanes.

  4. CIMA vs. Ultimo Dragon - UDG Title-Good match, with a great post match. This was Ultimo's last match with Toryumon at the time before going off to the WWE so there was alot of emotion from both the crowd and the wrestlers.Ultimo did the DoFixer dance afterwards and it was a good time.

Taped 5/16/03:

  1. Condotti Shuji vs. Masaaki Mochizuki-From the Kobe Chicken George which is one of my favorite arena's.Good match only it ended in a no contest due to Yassini getting alittle to involved leading to Araken getting involved. Before it broke down there were some nice exchanges between the two.

  2. CIMA/SUWA/Don Fujii vs. Ryo Saito/Susumu Yokosuka/Genki Horiguchi - UWA Trios Titles-Really great match that only got better every minute, this was all about the HAGE and it was loud here with the fans chanting for Genki. All the chants eventually paid off and Genki scored the backslide for the win.

Today's Toryumon Japan was absolutly awesome and I am ready to start the review, not one bad thing I can say seriosuly god bless Toryumon,Japan god bless it.

Toryumon TV 1/24/03
  1. Highlights or Ryo Saito's heel turn. -Really cool video package that covers Mochi and Ryo building tension and the eventual breakdown of Ryo and him destroying his bycycle.Leads to Ryo consulting with Magnum about joining DoFixer and Magnum letting him know he wants people who can dance.

  2. Ryo Saito shows everyone his dancing skills._Ryo shows Magnum he can not only dance but he can do his own unique dance and also do the whole Magnum dancestaring at any point.Really was impressed by the dancing skills of SaiRyo.

  3. 10-Man ELIMINATION MATCH - Magnum Tokyo/K-ness/Susumu Yokosuka/Genki Horiguchi/Ryo Saito vs. Masaaki Mchizuki/Kenichiro Arai/Anthony W. Mori/Raimu Mishima/Takamichi Iwasa (12/20/02) -Holy Crap this match blew my mind.Absolutly killer start with some quick and heated eliminatons. It really added to the match that Anthony and Iwasa were wearing thier street clothes because it looked like they were just thrown in to fight.Anthony did incredible and I really was rooting for him and thought he had a shot of winning a that end. When he appiled the Escargot I went nuts.

  4. CIMA/SUWA/El King Kong (Sumo Fuji) vs. YOSSINO/brother YASSINI/Pescatore Yagi (12/20/02)-Really fun match,King Kong is Fujidressed up as a gorilla and it is hilarious.Everyone shined in this and these two teams once again delivered the goods with a heated and awsome match.

  5. Kenichiro Arai vs. Pescatore Yagi (12/25/02)-Great match between two of my favorites.I love Yagi's attempt at hands locked diving top rope headbutt it looked very nice.Really just fun all around and it was pricless seeing Arai with the wig on.

  6. Kinya Oyanagei vs. Stalker Ishikawa (12/25/02) -Come on you know with these two it can't be anything besides hilarious. One really funny part was when they went for a double top rope walk on Kinya but he tripped them both up.Sadly though I think this is my last Toryumon Japan video with Kinya on it because soon after this he dissapeared from Toryumon Japan. So I just wanted to thank Kinya for the countless number of great performances and many laughs.

  7. Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Touru Owashi (12/25/02)-Really intense fight from both guys leading to a not seen so often finish by Toryumon Japan standards. After some good beatdowns by Owashi Mochi was able to land one of the most brutal high kicks I have ever seen in my life and get the 10 count KO win on Owashi.Really good match with so much heat at the end especially when the crowd was counting every second of the ten count.

  8. CIMA/SUWA vs. Magnum Tokyo/Genki Horiguchi - Tag Team Tournament Final (12/30/02)-Cool match from the awesome Kobe Chicken George.Great heat for the whole entire match and was super fast throughout. After the match Crazy Max sang and rocked out with Norman Smiley to Takamichi Iwasa's theme which was awesome.

Hello, the first video I watched today was to celebrate the one year anniversary of Kouji Shishido as a wrestler since he debuted last year at Dragon Gate's 10/20/2006 Korakuen Hall event. This was probaly my favorite story line of 2006 and it is always fun to go back and relive some great times.

Dragon Gate #52 11/2/06

  1. Masato Yoshino, Gamma, Kevin Steen vs. CIMA, BxB Hulk, Jack Evans (10/7/06) -Was a fun match with everyone hiting thier spots and building to the match later in the show between Gamma,Steen vs Jack,CIMA.

  2. Genichiro Tenryu vs. Masaaki Mochizuki (10/1/06)-I enjoyed Tenryu in Dragon Gate because he look to try to make people look tough and Mochi showed alot of spirit here leading to a fun quickie.

  3. Don Fuji vs Genichiro Tenryu-Another short match,Fuji got in more offense then I thought he would and really rocked Tenryu with some tough overhand chops.Tenryu looked like he was trying to kill Fuji when he chopped him because he was pretty close to the throat, also Tenryu's punches made me cringe.

  4. Open the Brave Gate: Masato Yoshino vs. Takayuki Mori (10/1/06)-I loved these two title matches against each other and hope they can have more soon since Yoshino is back as Open The Brave Gate champion.Yoshino in my eyes is the idea champion and really always puts on a great match.

  5. Magnitude Kishiwada vs. Taku Iwasa (10/7/06)-I love Taku but if you read any of my previous post you already knew that, this was a good match with Taku playing a great underdog and showing off his awesome power moves and gouwans.

  6. Taku Iwasa, Takayuki Mori, Kouji Shishido vs. Masato Yoshino, Magnitude Kishiwada, Kinta Tomoaka (10/20/06)-This is what I was waiting for and it's still the match that got me super excited last year, just great crowd heat and a great pace.Shishido's moonsalt still probaly the most beautiful one I have ever seen.Kouji speech after the match was really emotional and sucked you in.

  7. Costume Exchange Match: Gamma, Kevin Steen vs. CIMA, Jack Evans (10/20/06)-In this match CIMA dressed and acted like Gamma and Gamma dressed and acted like CIMA leading to so some fun spots and good comedymoments.Good crowd heat towards the end also.

  • 2:00 hours

Overall this episode is one of my favorites and I will continue to watch this every year on 10/20 because I love Kouji Shishido!!

Next since I watched two dvd's today was T2P's 9/4/02 TV show.

Toryumon TV (T2P) 9/4/02

Taped 8/3/02 (Mexico City):

  1. Suwacito & Small "Dandy" Fuji vs. Syachihoko Machines 1, 2 & 3-This was a fun little match and the Machines busted out some new moves that I have nnot seen from them in thier previous matches.SUWAcito's mistimed John Woo on Small Dandy Fuji was nuts and he went flying.

  2. Latin Lover/Mr. Aguila/Milano Collection A.T. vs. Hector Garza/Super Crazy/Toru Owashi-Fun Mexico main event with good crowd  heat throughout.I always like dAquila and Crazy so it was nice to see thm and Milano in T2P is beyond awesome so oblviously it was swell.

Taped 8/11/02 "Los Conquistadores II (Tokyo):

  1. DRAGON SCRAMBLE RULES: w/ Touru Owashi, Anthony W. Mori, Takuya Sugawara, Junya Fukumasa, Second Doi, Kinya Oyanagei - Its an elimination style match.-I really enjoyed this with my favorite part being the mat exchanges between Junya and Anthony which were pure beauty. The last three got teamed together to face the last three in the next match. And the others were paired to face the other losers from the next match.

  2. DRAGON SCRAMBLE RULES: w/ Milano Collection A.T., Condotti Shuji, Pescatore Yagi, Berlinetta Boxer, YOSSINO, YASSINI-Milano really dominated in this and eliminated Yagi,Shuji, and Boxer.

  3. Anthony W. Mori/Henry Sugawara III/Phillip J. Fukumasa vs. Condotti Shuji/Pescatore Yagi/Berlinetta Boxer-This was the formation of the Royal Brothers and I loved that gimmick.Junya...welll Phillip was my favorite here and really shined with his awesome submissions.Everyone was on thier game and worked well together leading to a great match.

  4. UWA TRIOS TITLES - NO. 1 CONTENDERS MATCH: Milano Collection A.T./YOSSINO/YASSINI vs. Kinya Oyanagei/Touru Owashi/Second Doi-Good match. My favorite part was when YOSSINO did his lighning fast arm bends into the armdrag ,which is like 100 turns and twists leading to a armdrag, but then Kinya practices it in the air with his arm and is able to do the eact ame thing to YOSSINO,seriously one of the most impressive things I ever seen,Kinya memory is insane.YOSSINO got legit knocked out in this by a Owashi powerbomb which was sad because i fell YOSSINO really would have helped the match flow beter.Kinya pretty much was the MVP and busted out so much nice stuff, everyone else was good and showed some nice stuff and had good exchanges, leading to a awesome match.

  1. CIMA/Don Fuji/TARU vs. Milano Collection AT/YOSSINO/Brother Yassini (5/11; Mexico City)-Fun match from Mexico with a lively crowd, everyone looked good and showed what we had to look forward to betwwen these teams in the future.

6/6/02:

  1. Pescatore Yagi/Berlinetta Boxer vs. Jun Ogawauchi/Takuya Sugawara-Korakuen is hot and I am excited.Great Opening match with not one person off thier game.Love all the innovation and you can't really ask for much more here.

  2. Noriaki Kawabata vs. Junya Fukumasa-I liked this match given it's time.It showed how good Fukumasa was going to be without showing everything in a short match.

  3. Touru Owashi vs. Syachihoko Machines #1, #2 & #3-Ultra-fun match but what else would you expect from the Machines and Owashi in T2P.

  4. TARU/Tarucito vs. Kinya Oyanagei/Takamichi Iwasa-This was the match I was looking forward to because I have always loved Iwasa. He made me a happy person here and even busted out one of my favorite moves the Lucretia

Taped 7/7/02:

  1. Berlinetta Boxer/Condotti Shuji/Pescatore Yagi vs. Kennichiro Arai/Super Shisa/Raimu Mishima-Once again a fantastic opener, really am loving all the recent opening matches,so much innovation and diversity.Loved seeing Mishima and he really got to show some fire and spunk here.

  2. Stalker Ichikawa vs. Tarucito-I love TARUcito's wheelbarrow small package and come on Stalker is Stalker and that makes him awesome.

  3. Super Nova (a.k.a. Micke "El Suicida" Segura) vs. Ricky Marvin - NWA Welterweight Title-Lots of high flying and both guys looked to have came to Japan to impress and I think they did.My first time seeing Super Nova and he has a very crisp moonsalt.

  4. Great Sasuke/Atlantis vs. Sasuke The Great/Negro Casas-Fun big lucha and puroesu stars match.Sasuke busted out some of his crazy stuff including a nuts what looked to be a senton from the top rope to the outside ring apron.

  5. Judo Suwa vs. Susumu Yokosuka - British Jr. Title-Awesome match.Great heat thanks to Kanda being at ringside in his awesome evil ref mode with ultra cool comb over.Susumu worked the leg like a machine and SUWA brought his big match A-game and they put together a steller match.

  6. CIMA/Don Fuji/Yoshikazu Taru vs. Masaaki Mochizuki/Ryo Saito/Dragon Kid vs. Magnum Tokyo/Genki Horiguchi/Darkness Dragon - UWA Trios Titles-This is exactly why I love Toryumon,so much fun and you just can't look away for one second. The multiman spots and double and triple team segmnts were flawlessly executed and were absolutly breathtaking. The kept a amazing pce throughout and mixed both fun comedy spots with innovative high spots to make a match that I feel really symbolized Toryumon and showed how awesome they are.

Wll today I watched both parts from Toryumon's El Numero Uno they were two episodes of Toryumon's old Vamonos Amigos show.

Toryumon TV 4/19/02 El Numero Uno 2002 Part 1
  1. CIMA/Judo Suwa vs. Don Fuji/Yoshikazu Taru (3/12 Kobe) -This was my favorite match it had a good story of SUWA not getting along with C-MAX only for them all to make up after the match.Very Emotional match and aftermath got good time.

  2. Magnum Tokyo vs. Judo Suwa - British Jr. Title (3/15 Kanagawa)-Was good for being shor.SUWA brought the goods and his lovly flying lariat.

  3. El Numero Uno Opening Night 3/21 Tokyo:

  4. Stalker Ichikawa vs. Judo Suwa -Stalker got the surprise count out win thanks to the Magnum-SUWA fued hating up.

  5. Kennichiro Arai vs. Masaaki Mochizuki-These two really worked well in the El Numero Uno's and Araken once again like his win the year before picked up a huge victory with the Fire Bird Splash.

  6. Magnum Tokyo vs. Susumu Yokosuka -This was all about M2K wanting Magnum to lead them and going as far as to work against thier own partner Susumu to show him.Susumu worked the leg excellent and by the end of the match the fans were really pulling for him.

  7. Highlights 3/24 Sendai:

  8. Don Fuji vs. Ryo Saito-Only a cuple minutes shown looked like a good match with some hard battles at the end

  9. Magnum Tokyo vs. Dragon Kid-Once again very clipped,I am sure f more was hown this would have been great.

  10. CIMA vs. Masaaki Mochizuki -These two work great with each other but sadly only a little was shown, still good though.

Toryumon TV 5/17/02 - El Numero Uno 2002 Tournament Finals

  1. 11-man "Royal Rumble style" battle royal with Kenichiro Arai, Darkness Dragon, Dragon Kid, Genki Horiguchi, Susumu Yokosuka, Stalker Ishikawa, Ricky Marvin, Don Fuji, Ryo Saito, Masaaki Mochizuki, and Taru -So much fun throughout with Mochi getting the huge win and loud reaction from the crowd.

  2. Magnum Tokyo vs. Suwa (El Numero Uno Tournament Semifinals) -Great match that continued thier fued from the last episode.SUWA won but Magnum advanced thanks to M2K attacking SUWA after the match and him not being able to finsh the tornament.

  3. Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Cima (clipped, El Numero Uno Tournament Semifinals)-This was excellent, like I said above these guys work awesome with each other and this match got more time then the one from the other tape so obvilously it was awesome.By the end I was popping for the nearfalls with the crowd.

  4. Magnum Tokyo vs. Masaaki Mochizuki (clipped, El Numero Uno Tournament Finals)-Great match I loved this final and thier previous final against each other from the previous years El Numero Uno tournament, also it had a great AV Star press by Magunm which is always nice to see. Also great for the post match M2K and Magnum dance.

  5. Darkness Dragon & Susumu Yokosuka vs. Magnum Tokyo & Masaaki Mochizuki (4/27/02)-All about M2K and Magnum.Magun left during the match after Mochi kept mis timing his kicks and accidentily hitting Magnum instead of his opponent.Fun match and Mochi played a great underdog after Magnum left him all by himself.

  6. Genki Horiguchi vs. NWA Welterweight Champion Ryo Saito (clipped, 4/27/02)-I loved this match.Ryo  and Genki have always had such good chemistry and it showed here.Genki got the win after some M2K interference.Once again there was some cool dancing here as well as in the pervious match.

  • 2:00 hours

Overall two good episodes and some fun times watching Magun,Genki,Susumu,Kanda, and K-NESS dancing.Next week is some more T2P and this time Iwasa is on the tape so it will no doubt be excellent!!

I got the chance to watch two T2P videos so far this weekend and here are some thoughts on both which were very good.

Toryumon TV (T2P) 2/16/02
Taped 1/23 Tokyo:

  1. Shuji Kondo vs. Jun Ogawauchi-Good opener, the crowd seemed to be into both guys and really bought into the nearfalls by the end.Jun was great as always and Shuji displayed some nice power

  2. Noriaki Kawabata vs. Raimu Mishima-Akward in the beginning because the fans seemed to be confused about Kawabata and his hooting, but I am a huge Raimu fan and always have love his perfect backdrop suplex hold.

  3. Yoshikazu Taru vs. Kinya Oyanagei-Oyanagei just makes me happy,he is just a joy to watch and still after a couple of years his act is hilarious and I will always be happy to see him vs TARU on a card.

  4. Jorge Rivera vs. Tarucito - Exhibition Match-Just watching this was awesome, really shows you why the T2P guys were so fluid ,look at thier trainer he wrestled on the mat non-stop and never repeated one submission or cradle.

  5. Touru Owashi vs. Syachihoko Machines I & II-I lve the Machines and Owashi looked pretty good and did a cool double strecth finisher.

  6. Milano Collection A.T./Steve Tsujimoto/Masato Yoshino vs. Ryo Saito/Takayuki Yagi/Anthony W. Mori-Just great and what you want to see when you buy a T2P tape,so much fun moves and double team moves.

Toryumon TV T2P League Tournament 03/30/02
Taped 03-03-02:

  1. Anthony W. Morii vs. Takayuki Yagi vs Steve Tsujimoto- T2P League Tournament -I really liked this matchit was short fun and had so many cool three way spots.

  2. Shuji Kondo vs. Toru Owashi - T2P League Tournament-This was not bad at all and even for the finish was fun because the crowd really started to rally behind Shuji.

  3. Masato Yoshino vs. Anthony W. Morii - T2P Semifinals-Good match from these two, they have good chemistry and are still putting together great matches today.

  4. Milano Collection A.T. vs. Shuji Kondo - T2P Semifinals-Short but that was just because Shuji had got beaten down by Owashi, made Milano look strong which was good.

  5. Shachihoko Machines vs. Raimu Mishima & Noriaki Kawabata-Once again a fun Machines match and some more nice Backdrops.

  6. Taru & Tarucito vs. Ryo Saito & Kinya Oyanagei -This was my favorite match fromm the show, had a great mx of serious and comedy wrestling and I thought everyone looked.

  7. Milano Collection A.T. vs. Masato Yoshino - T2P Finals for the NWA International Junior Heavyweight title-Short match again but that was probaly because Milano got attcked this time by Don Fuji. After the match the Itailian Connection was born and it was fun to seeeveryone get thier new names.
